What they wrote to the President

President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev continues to receive letters from all over the country and the world.

We present some of them:

From Hasan Demirtash, Antalya, Türkiye

‘Dear Mr. President,

I lived in Azerbaijan for three years due to my job. I worked hard for the economy, and the quality of products and services offered by our two brotherly countries to be competitive and excel globally. I cherish my memories of Azerbaijan of those times, and I have gained many loyal friends.

We stand by You and all people of Azerbaijan in Your just war against Armenian invaders. I declare that I am ever ready for any task You might issue.

My wish is to stand under the shadow of our glorious tricolour flag undulating proudly in Karabakh during my next visit to Azerbaijan.

I would like to express my regards to You, Your team, the brave Azerbaijani soldiers and all my Azerbaijani brothers.’

From Birol Ozer, Kocaeli, Türkiye

‘Our dear leader Ilham Aliyev,

I live in Kocaeli, Türkiye. I have a son called Burak. My son and I always stand by You and Azerbaijan against Armenian occupation.

Azerbaijan is a friendly and brotherly country. We are indeed two states, one nation. Your friend is our friend, Your enemy is ours. Therefore, it is an honour for us to be among Your ranks. For us, martyrdom is the greatest reward of all.

We await Your order to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our Azerbaijani brothers.

May God protect and help You!’

From Seymour Nasirov, Cairo, Egypt

‘Dear President, Mr. Supreme Commander-in-Chief,

We heartily congratulate You and our people on the victories of the Azerbaijani Army under Your command. We declare our wholehearted support for Your war of justice against the Armenian occupants.

Regardless of where we live, we always remain a part of our Motherland and follow closely the events in our dear Azerbaijan. We have mobilized all our efforts as citizens. We spare no efforts in informing the Egyptian community about the truths of Azerbaijan, actively participating in the information war. We are ever ready to fulfil our sacred duty before our country. We stand by You and our glorious army.

We believe that the Azerbaijani Army will soon restore historical justice and ensure the territorial integrity of our Motherland under Your command. May God help You on this glorious path. Long live Azerbaijan! Karabakh is Azerbaijan!

With sincere regards from all Azerbaijanis living in the Arab Republic of Egypt.’

From Eyham Abu Annab and others, Amman, Jordan

‘Dear Mr. President,

We, the board members of the ‘Azerbaijan Alumni Club of Jordan’, feel honoured to greet Your Excellency and wish You and the brotherly people of Azerbaijan good health. We are happy to wish more stability, progress, and prosperity to the great people of Azerbaijan through Your Excellency.

This letter is the manifestation of our confidence in Your rightful cause. The valiant Azerbaijani Armed Forces are carrying out military operations to liberate the Azerbaijani lands, occupied by invading Armenia. Armenia has seized twenty percent of the historical lands of Azerbaijan, thus violating principles and norms of international law and continues to ignore the UN resolutions 822, 853, 874 and 884. The international community thereby demands the complete withdrawal of occupying forces from all invaded Azerbaijani lands.

We would like to confirm to Your Excellency our support for the territorial integrity and internationally recognized borders of Azerbaijan. We have seen our dear and valuable Republic of Azerbaijan continue negotiations within the OSCE Minsk Group for 30 years under Your wise leadership. However, the non-constructive and anti-peace position of the current Armenian leadership did not produce the desired outcome in the negotiations.

Your Excellency, we know perfectly well that the Armenian invaders and aggressors have inflicted great damage to the existing infrastructure in the occupied Azerbaijani territories, committed massacres like the Khojaly genocide, destroyed the historical monuments of the Azerbaijani people, and turned the mosques into pig and cattle sheds. This is an insult to the entire Islamic world.

In conclusion, we would like to express our confidence that under Your leadership and motivation, the valiant Azerbaijani Armed Forces will succeed in fulfilling the sacred duty of liberating the occupied Azerbaijani lands and the people to restore peace in the South Caucasus and building calm and stability within the country’s internationally recognized borders.

Your Excellency, Yours is the cause of truth. God willing, the victory will be Yours. We pray to God Almighty to protect Your Excellency, the Republic, and the brotherly people of Azerbaijan.’

From Zakir Jabbarov, Odessa, Ukraine

‘Dear President, Mr. Supreme Commander-in-Chief,

Our people all over the world have been holding their heads up high thanks to everything You have done for Azerbaijan. May God always protect You.

You serve our people tirelessly day and night. I pray for the day we can host You in our home in Kalbajar. Let us be at Your service for just one day at the least.

May God be with You in all Your endeavours.

God bless, Inshallah.’

From Nijat Rustamov, Imishli, Azerbaijan

‘Our dearest Supreme Commander-in-Chief,

I cannot yet join the front because of my age. But I support all Your decisions wholeheartedly.

I am confident that You will soon liberate our occupied lands and strengthen Azerbaijan’s political stance.

I also promise You that I will always protect my homeland with honour as a valiant soldier and will become a worthy and educated son to uphold the country honour.’

From Khalil Isgandarov, Shamkir, Azerbaijan

‘Our Dearest President,

You have achieved the rapid development and global recognition of our independent Azerbaijan as a follower of the policy, set by the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev. Your leadership has brought Azerbaijan to the peak of contemporary development, thus finding its worthy spot in the international community.

We, the people of Azerbaijan, are ever ready to follow all Your instructions. I have always supported Your domestic and foreign policy. Victory shall be ours.

I wish the war to end soon, and our displaced people return to their homes. The people consider You worthy of the ‘National Hero of Azerbaijan’ title. I am proud to have a President like Yourself.

May God protect You, our soldiers, and all the people of Azerbaijan.

May our martyrs, who have sacrificed their lives for the Motherland, rest in peace. We are happy to have a President like You and brave soldiers in the army. The blood of our martyrs will be avenged!

We will ever continue chanting ‘Forward with Ilham! Karabakh is Azerbaijan!’

I, a Karabakh veteran, do not miss a single speech by You and would like to convey how proud I am of You. All veterans support and trust Your policy. We are confident that the successes of our valiant soldiers under Your command will lead to a historic Victory and our tricolour flag will undulate in all our liberated lands.

May God protect You, Your family, and our Army! We always stand by You!

We are proud to have a president and a supreme commander-in-chief like Yourself!’

Azərbaycan Ordusunun sentyabrın 27-də işğalçı Ermənistan silahlı qüvvələrinə qarşı başladığı əks-hücum əməliyyatında əldə etdiyi möhtəşəm qələbələr haqqında bundan sonra kitablar yazılacaq, filmlər çəkiləcək. Amma indidən tam əminliklə deyə bilərik ki, cəbhə uğurlarımızın ən başlıca səbəbi Prezident, Ali Baş Komandan İlham Əliyevin həyata keçirdiyi güclü dövlət, güclü ordu strategiyası, milli birlik və döyüşçülərimizin ruh yüksəkliyi idi.
