Azerbaijan Army units enter Lachin city
“Under the instruction of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijan Army units took complete control of the city of Lachin, as well as Zabukh and Sus settlements,” the Ministry of Defense reports.“Currently, measures to deploy the Azerbaijan Army units to new deployment points, as well as carry out the necessary engineering work are underway in these territories,” the ministry said.
Azerbaijan`s national flag raised in Lachin city
On August 26, the national flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan was raised in the city of Lachin.Commander of the army corps, Major General Kanan Seyidov reported to President, Victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev.He said: “The Esteemed President, Mr. Victorious Commander-in-Chief! The Azerbaijani Army has taken full control of the city of Lachin, as well as Zabukh and Sus villages, in line with your directives. Vagif Poetry Days kicks off in Shusha
Vagif Poetry Days has got underway in the cultural capital of Azerbaijan, Shusha with the organization of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Ministry of Culture and the Union of Azerbaijani Writers.It has been a second time that Vagif Poetry Days, which have a history of 40 years, were held following the liberation of Shusha from occupation.The first event organized within the framework of the Poetry Days, which are attended by figures of culture and art, members of the Union of Azerbaijani Writers, young writers, poets and war veterans, is a book fair in front of the Karabakh Hotel.A member of the Union of Azerbaijani Writers, Ilgar Fahmi opened the fair. Diplomats view restoration of HPPs in Azerbaijan's Kalbajar
Representatives of the diplomatic corps have got familiarized with the work on the restoration of hydropower plants in Azerbaijani territories, liberated from the Armenian occupation in the 2020 Second Karabakh War, within their visit to Kalbajar district.The visitors were informed about the beginning of restoration of two hydropower plants (completely destroyed during the Armenian occupation) in Kalbajar and Lachin districts and viewed a hydropower plant in Kalbajar.The purpose of the visit is to familiarize the international diplomats with the consequences of the destructions by the Armenian occupiers and with the restoration process in the liberated territories.More than 80 diplomats and military attaches from more than 50 countries and 10 international organizations are taking part in the trip.This is already the ninth visit of the diplomatic corps to the liberated territories.

The diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan, including foreign ambassadors, military attachés, heads of international organizations, and more than 80 people from more than 50 countries have kicked off their visit to the liberated Kalbajar district.During the visit, the diplomats will familiarize themselves with the transport and energy infrastructure projects implemented in Kalbajar district, including the construction of roads, tunnels and power lines.The diplomatic corps will be made aware of the destruction and atrocities committed by the Armenian armed forces in Kalbajar district, especially the problems they caused deliberately when they left the territories.

Representatives of the diplomatic corps have got familiarized with the work on the сonstruction of a tunnel through the Murovdagh mountain range in Azerbaijan’s Kalbajar district liberated from the Armenian occupation in the 2020 Second Karabakh War.The visitors were informed about the process of construction of the tunnel, as well as the Toghanali-Kalbajar-Istisu highway.Besides, they were informed that the construction of the highway is planned to be completed in 2024-2025, and after its commissioning, the travel time will take no more than an hour.The purpose of the visit is to familiarize the international diplomats with the consequences of the destructions by the Armenian occupiers and with the restoration process in the liberated territories.More than 80 diplomats and military attaches from more than 50 countries and 10 international organizations are taking part in the trip.This is already the ninth visit of the diplomatic corps to the liberated territories.
5th “Kharibulbul” International Folklore Festival gets underway in Shusha
The 5th “Kharibulbul” International Folklore Festival has today opened in Shusha, the cultural capital of Azerbaijan.President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the opening of the festival.The 5th “Kharibulbul” International Folklore Festival, held in the “Year of Shusha” on the occasion of the 270th anniversary of the city of Shusha, has been organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Ministry of Culture and the Shusha City State Reserve. The 5th festival, which will end on 14 May, is being attended by musicians and dance groups from different countries, as well as folk groups from different regions of Azerbaijan.The first “Kharibulbul” festival was held in Shusha in 1989 in connection with the 100th birthday anniversary of the famous singer, pedagogue and People's Artist Seyid Shushinsky (1889-1965). The event was organized in May of that year in Shusha during the flowering of kharibulbul (Ophrys caucasica). Along with local performers, the first festival was attended by music groups from the former Soviet republics of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia (Bashkortostan), Lithuania and Belarus.In 1990, the “Kharibulbul” festival gained international status. The invitation of folk groups from the Netherlands, Germany, Israel and Turkey to the second festival also aroused great interest. Due to the difficult situation in Shusha in the aftermath of the start of the Karabakh conflict, the concerts were organized in Aghdam. A numbe
