Fake News Seeps into Russian Media
Azerbaijan has been exposing not only the lies spread by the Armenian media but also biased publications in various pro-Armenian foreign media. Biased articles that are far from the reality in Russian media are an excellent illustration.
The article in Komsomolskaya Pravda claims that the Azerbaijani Army has breached the humanitarian ceasefire and fired rockets at Khankendi, causing extensive destruction in the city.
The images and footage the publication chose to illustrate the article depict the terrible aftermath of the rocket attacks by the occupant Armenian armed forces on Ganja on the night of 11 October.
The other images in the publication are credited to Reuters news agency. However, KP blames Azerbaijan for the happenings depicted in the photographs. The caption reads that the images have been taken during the destruction caused by rocket attacks on Khankendi. They insist that they have been taken in Khankendi and dozens of Armenians are trapped under the ruins.
It seems the publication failed to notice an important detail. Because it is clear as day that the rescuers in the photograph are from the Ministry of Emergencies of Azerbaijan. The tricolour Azerbaijani flag on their uniforms must have escaped the attention of the multimedia editors at the agency.
