A briefing was held for foreign military attachés accredited in Azerbaijan and representatives of international organizations in our country
Armenia's large-scale provocations against Azerbaijan have started since September 27. In order to ensure the safety of Azerbaijani citizens, our army is carrying out a counter-attack operation within the framework of international legal norms.
The head of the International Military Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Defense, Major General Huseyn Mahmudov, said this at a briefing held for foreign military attachés accredited in Azerbaijan and representatives of international organizations in our country.
The participants of the briefing were informed about the operations carried out in the occupied territories and the liberated territories, as well as the damage inflicted on the enemy forces. In addition, detailed information was provided to the guests about the enemy's missile and artillery strikes on the cities and regions of Azerbaijan located far from the contact line.
It was reported that the Azerbaijani Army targets only the military equipment of Armenia. However, the Armenian side targets the civilian population of Azerbaijan and even fires rockets at cities far from the contact line.
The head of the department noted that civilians, including women and children, were killed and injured today as a result of Armenia's rocket fire on Ganja, the historical and second largest city of Azerbaijan. In addition, civil infrastructure was seriously damaged.
