Volunteers Continue Supporting Information Warfare and Helping Victims
The secretariat and leaders of members organizations to the Union of Volunteer Organizations in Azerbaijan (UVOA) held a meeting on the action strategy of the organization.
The meeting attendants reviewed the projects and measures run by the UVOA in October to support the state measures taken during the war. They discussed the performance of the ‘Press Trench’ project and the active participation of the volunteers in the ‘Support Together’ humanitarian campaign, launched to support the information war and aid our compatriots, harmed by enemy attacks. The attendants also discussed the proposals put forward by member organizations and adopted the action strategy for 2020-2022.
They then proceeded to open voting and the board of directors unanimously elected Emiliya Bayramova, Chairperson at ‘ASAN Volunteers’, the General Secretary at the UVOA.
Note that the UVOA founding conference was held on 22 August 2020 to augment the volunteer movement in the country. The union members include ‘ASAN Volunteers’ Organization, ‘One Volunteer’ Student Cooperation Public Union, ‘Volunteer DOST’ Program, ‘Agrarian Development Volunteers’ Organization, ‘Transport Volunteers’ Program, ‘Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix’ Volunteer Program, ‘Migration Volunteer’ Public Union, ‘Customs Volunteer’ Team, ‘Tourism Volunteers’ Organization, ‘Eco Volunteers’ Group, AFFA and Euro-2020 Volunteer Program, ‘Diplomacy Volunteers’ Group, ‘Young Volunteers’ Movement, ‘Azerbaijan Diaspora Volunteers’ Program, ‘SƏLİS Volunteers’ Public Union, ‘Justice Volunteers’ Public Union’, and ‘Food Volunteer’ Program.
