Representative of the Avar People: Our Patriotism is Our Most Powerful Weapon Against the Enemy
‘We, the Avar people, a minority in Zagatala, rejoice the victory march at the Karabakh front of the valiant Azerbaijani Army in retaliation to the latest provocations of the Armenian usurpers, and the liberation of our occupied lands and settlements from the enemy. All of us, regardless of religion, language and traditions, are united around a single cause. It is the sacred duty of everyone, born and raised on this land, to protect our common Motherland’, says Zarifa Aghakishiyeva, a representative of the Avar people and headmistress at Jar village school 1 in Zagatala.
The intellectual says she is proud to call herself a citizen of Azerbaijan: ‘It is a tolerant country. Representatives of over 20 peoples have enjoyed friendship and brotherhood for many years in our native Zagatala. The youth we raise have always respected the cultures and traditions of these nations. Now is the time for unity. We must all unite around our President, the victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev as one. There are no words to describe the joy we experience as we hear the victorious tides from the frontline. The heroic sons of Azerbaijan are safeguarding our Motherhood bravely against the hated enemy and facing death every day fearlessly. This is our unity, our strength!’
The school headmistress says as the Armenian usurpers blatantly violate the requirements of the declared ceasefire regime, shell Azerbaijani cities and regions from rockets, and commit massacres and bloody crimes against civilians in Ganja, Barda and Tartar, they once again demonstrate their true colours as fascists for the entire world to see.
Aghakishiyeva states that the battles on the frontline do not frighten our people, as we are all united for a common cause: ‘Our patriotism is our biggest weapon against the enemy. We are fighting for justice, which inspires our soldiers to be more courageous. All our territories will soon be liberated from enemy foothold. Every day we look forward to hearing news of victory from the Supreme Commander. May God bless Azerbaijan! Karabakh is Azerbaijan!’
