Campaign in Geneva to Protest Armenian Missile Attacks on Azerbaijan
Azerbaijani community in Switzerland has held a peaceful protest in front of the Palace of Nations in Geneva against Armenian provocations and heavy artillery fires on our civilian settlements away from the frontline.
The State Committee for Work with the Diaspora reports that the event, organized by the Cultural Centre of Azerbaijanis in Switzerland, the Coordination Council of Azerbaijanis in Switzerland and the Friends of Azerbaijan Society, was also attended by members of Azerbaijan-Italy Youth Association and Azerbaijani youth in France.
Gasim Nasirov, head of the Cultural Centre, delivered the opening speech, informing of the bloody crimes and terrorist acts committed by the occupying Armenian army on the territories of our country.
Our compatriots laid flowers in front of the pictures of the victims and mourned the civilians, especially children, who died in the cities of Ganja and Barda.
The protest participants raised posters, depicting slogans such as ‘End Armenian occupation!’, ‘Azerbaijan demands justice!’, ‘We say no to terrorism!’, ‘Karabakh is Azerbaijan!’, ‘Stop supporting the occupying state!’, raising awareness among the locals that the UN Security Council resolutions have still not been implemented, and called on the international community and organizations to put an end to Armenian terrorism and recognize Azerbaijan’s struggle for justice.
