I am truly proud to be an Azerbaijani! My family lives in Moscow, Russia, and we have been glued to the TV as of late, following all the news from Azerbaijan.

We are proud to have a President like You and are grateful to You for bestowing such joy on us.

I walk with my head held up high in my school, because everyone knows that I am an Azerbaijani and we are winning and will continue to!

Karabakh is Azerbaijan!’

From Shovgu Abasov, Saatli, Azerbaijan

‘My victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief,

I, Shovgu Abasov Heydarali oghlu, was born in Saatli in 1982. I graduated from Jamshid Nakhchivansky military lyceum and college. I am a senior lieutenant. I graduated from the military training centre in 2006 and was sent to the military unit N in Murovdag, a war zone, the same year. I served in the combat zone until 2012 as a professional artilleryman.

I am a military man through and through. The recent bravery and prowess demonstrated by our Armed Forces in the battles have inspired me even more.

Mr. President, I wish to return to the military service and participate in the battles for the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan. One command by You suffices.’

From Ali Dadashov, Baku, Azerbaijan

‘Mr. Supreme Commander-in-Chief, our powerful Commander,

I wholeheartedly congratulate You and our brave Army. I am happy that we have a President like You. You have introduced us to the entire world as a victorious nation. We celebrate this victory with pride and joy thanks to You and our mighty Army. I thank You for bestowing upon us a free, prosperous, and integral Azerbaijan on behalf of myself and all Azerbaijani children. Karabakh is Azerbaijan!’

From Gunel Sultanli, Guba, Azerbaijan

‘Dear Mr. President,

We feel extremely proud to represent a victorious nation, a triumphant state. We thank You for bestowing these proud days upon us. We, the Sultanov family, support Your rightful cause for the recovery of Karabakh and trust You wholeheartedly. We believe that the victory is very near thanks to the sacrifices of all our soldiers, including my uncle, who is now serving as a military doctor. We are confident that the bravery of our Army and Your wisely calculated strategy will lead to the full recovery of our lands from occupation. We are looking forward to new victories and declare our support for You!’

From Gilas Ibrahimova, Jabrayil, Azerbaijan,

‘Our dearest Mr. President,

I was born in Jabrayil. I was only 2 when my homeland was invaded. All I have ever known about Jabrayil was based on my parents’ stories and other sources, but I will finally get to see my homeland after so many years thanks to You and the strong Azerbaijani Army. I eagerly wait for Your tides and inspiring speeches. May God protect You and the mighty Azerbaijani Army.’

From Ismayil Ismayilbeyli, Mingachevir, Azerbaijan

‘Dear President, Mr. Supreme Commander-in-Chief,

The provocation launched by the Armenian army once again along the entire frontline early in the morning of 27 September is yet another manifestation of the aggressive and occupying policy pursued by this country. We wish from God for peace for the souls of the martyrs who lost their lives in the battles for the territorial integrity of the Motherland and healing to our wounded.

Armenia has continued to occupy our territories for almost thirty years, disregarding the resolutions and calls by many regional and international institutions, specifically the UN Security Council, to immediately and unconditionally withdraw troops from Nagorno-Karabakh and all other occupied territories. We strongly condemn these attacks.

We strongly believe that Nagorno-Karabakh and the adjacent regions will soon be liberated. A million of our compatriots, who have become refugees and IDPs, will finally return to their homes. We rejoice that we get to witness all these days when justice and peace are restored.

The Azerbaijani Army has managed to liberate several occupied lands thanks to the counteroffensive operations and their ironclad resolution.

We are proud of them. Victory belongs to us! Karabakh is Azerbaijan!’

From Murad Jabiyev, Aghsu, Azerbaijan

‘My dear President,

I am 15 years old. You are who we all trust, me, my fellow students, and the entire Azerbaijani nation. We are proud of You and our army.

The school I go to is named after my uncle Arif Jabiyev, who died in the Afghanistan War. My other uncle, Toghrul Farajzadeh, fell in the April battles of 2016.

I am proud of the glorious victories our army is winning over the enemy. When needed, I, too, am ready to become a soldier to protect the holy Azerbaijani lands and show heroism like my uncle Toghrul Farajzadeh.

From Rovshan Babayev, Jalilabad, Azerbaijan

‘Dear President, victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief,

We are concerned on the one hand and proud on the other of the recent events, unfolding in our country. We are proud of You for liberating our lands as the invincible Leader of our people and displaying a firm stance against the Armenian terrorists. We are confident that Your prudent domestic and foreign policy and professional diplomacy will lead us to a great victory and recovery of our territorial integrity as this war ends.

You will thus be remembered as an invincible commander and a wise President who wrote the glorious newest history of Azerbaijan, by staying true to his people and state. We ever pray for You and the valiant Azerbaijani Army.

May God bless You and our glorious army with a victory! I truly believe that You will soon deliver the news of our Great Victory to the people of Azerbaijan.’

From Rafayil Zulfugarov, Fuzuli, Azerbaijan

‘Dear President, victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief,

It is the product of Your wise policy for the integrity of our occupied lands that the Azerbaijani tricolour flag now flies proudly in Fuzuli, Jabrayil and Hadrut. My dearest wish is to see our flag, our source of pride and joy, undulate in all lands of Azerbaijan, recovered from occupation.

Our dear and beloved President, the hearts of all Azerbaijanis beat along Yours. We are all proud of You. You are making so many homesick people happy.

We are not only recovering our lands but taking our revenge from the enemy. May God protect You and the victorious Azerbaijani army on this glorious and holy path!

Karabakh belongs to us! Karabakh is Azerbaijan!’

From Aykhan Nasibli, Baku, Azerbaijan

‘Our victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief,

You are making history as You recover the divided lands of Azerbaijan, commanding our glorious Army. You overjoy our people with the victories You have won and multiplied the sympathy and love people have always had for You. Please know that we are ever ready to sacrifice our lives for a wise President like You.

Dear President, I promise that I will erect Your statue in our yard when we return to our home in Zangilan. God willing, You will come to visit us there with Mehriban Khanim. I believe that the day is near.

My President, who has breathed life into Azerbaijan, my eternal President forever and ever, You are Azerbaijan itself!’

From Sahraddin Nuriyev, Ganja, Azerbaijan

‘Dear Mr. President,

We pray for You every day, asking God to protect You. Our recent victories are the product of Your years-long successful domestic and foreign policy. I wholeheartedly applaud Your policy.

I bow before the families of martyrs and pray for them to rest in peace. May God give strength and health to our soldiers. I am confident that we will soon defeat the enemy.

I am 74 years old. Inspired by the successes penned by You and our army, I, too, am ready to take up arms at this age and carry out all Your orders.’

From Jeyhun Babayev, Kalbajar, Azerbaijan

‘Dear President, victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief,

I am a 6th-grade student in Kalbajar School 20.

Our nation is witnessing glorious history. The brave sons of our motherland are fighting for justice, retaliating worthily to the enemy on the frontline. I rejoice as an Azerbaijani at the news of victory we receive every day. I know that every success we have achieved is due to Your hard work, which I am eternally grateful for. I am proud of You and our glorious Army.

I believe that Your struggle will triumph in a victory and I shall return to Kalbajar with my family.

May God Almighty help You and our glorious Army on this righteous path!

Karabakh is Azerbaijan! May our flag always fly high, our state ever be strong, our Army invincible, our Motherland free and whole!

Long live Azerbaijan!

Long live the victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief!

Long live our triumphant Army!’

From Seymur Hasanov, Baku, Azerbaijan

‘Dear Mr. President,

‘I wish You success in Your fight against Armenian terrorists. I am currently convicted, but I think it is my civic duty to join the battles against the enemy.

Therefore, I would like to inform You that I await Your orders to fight in the battles for the freedom of our lands. I am ready to serve the rest of my sentence after the great Victory, should I survive.

Karabakh belongs to us, Karabakh is Azerbaijan!’

From Mirazad Bayramov, Sumgait, Azerbaijan

‘Dear Mr. President,

I, Mirazad Bayramov, go to 3rd grade. My school is named after my uncle Azad Bayramov Mukhtar oghlu, who fell in the battles for Fuzuli in 1993.

My family rejoices as our lands are cleared of the hateful enemy. My uncle is avenged, which is why I thank You on behalf of my family.

Our victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief, we wish that our army under Y our command drives the enemy completely out and liberates our lands.

Karabakh belongs to us, Karabakh is Azerbaijan!’

Azərbaycan Ordusunun sentyabrın 27-də işğalçı Ermənistan silahlı qüvvələrinə qarşı başladığı əks-hücum əməliyyatında əldə etdiyi möhtəşəm qələbələr haqqında bundan sonra kitablar yazılacaq, filmlər çəkiləcək. Amma indidən tam əminliklə deyə bilərik ki, cəbhə uğurlarımızın ən başlıca səbəbi Prezident, Ali Baş Komandan İlham Əliyevin həyata keçirdiyi güclü dövlət, güclü ordu strategiyası, milli birlik və döyüşçülərimizin ruh yüksəkliyi idi.
