What they wrote to the President
President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ilham Aliyev continues to receive letters both from within the country and abroad.
We present some of them:
From Türkiye Veterans, Ankara, Türkiye
‘Dear Mr. President,
We are a group of veterans, who have always fought against traitors and separatist forces in Türkiye.
As we write this letter, we witness You, the glorious army of the Azerbaijani state and Your people write one of the greatest heroic epics in history. We declare that we always stand by You in this epic.
Azerbaijan is not alone. The Turkish state and people are always with Azerbaijan. We are against all attempts and provocations by Armenia, targeting the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. We declare our wholehearted support for the Patriotic War and Azerbaijan’s struggle for justice to end the occupation of Karabakh.
The great Turkish nation, including us veterans, rejoice at every victory of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces under Your leadership against the invading Armenia.
We are confident that the future generations will protect the shared geography, the preservation of its cultural and spiritual values, and the common history of the Turkic World.
We declare our readiness to leave for Azerbaijan at any moment to stand by You in Azerbaijan’s struggle for justice, which we consider our second motherland. May the martyrs rest in peace, may the injured veterans soon be healed.’

We, Azerbaijanis in Moscow, rejoice at the victories of our Army and are saddened by the death of our civilians.
Mr. Supreme Commander-in-Chief, I used to serve in tank troops. Should You order, we are ever ready to return to the Motherland and fight for the liberation of our historical lands from invaders.
Ours is the path of justice!

We declare our utmost respect for You and would like to express our full support to You and the people of Azerbaijan on behalf of the multi-thousand Azerbaijani diaspora in Tyumen, Russia, and myself. We are happy and proud of the spirit and strength of the unity of the entire Azerbaijani nation, who have gathered around You in support for Your domestic and foreign policy and provide all-around support to the glorious Azerbaijani Army, currently fighting for the restoration of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. The reforms carried out across industries in the country under Your leadership have boosted the infrastructural foundation of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, which speaks volumes of how successfully You have fulfilled all the tasks You have taken upon Yourself as the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. We, the Azerbaijani diaspora in Tyumen, declare our absolute readiness to provide the necessary humanitarian aid, such as medication, food, and other necessities for the civilians in regions under fire, and the military families.’

I am currently living a life of conviction. I follow all the military operations on the front on TV. I am ever proud as I see the villages and cities liberated by our army from enemy occupation. For that, I am grateful to You and our army.
But as I see the atrocities committed by Armenians against our civilians, I am consumed by the desire to avenge our martyred innocent babies and mothers.
Mr. Supreme Commander-in-Chief, I declare that I am ever at Your command to fight alongside our brave soldiers.’

God willing, our flag will soon undulate in Karabakh. We are proud of You!

I congratulate You on the behalf of all people of Aghdam on the liberation of Jabrayil, Fuzuli, Zangilan, the Hadrut settlement and several of our villages from occupation.
We never lost hope of recovering our lands, as Your leadership has driven our country to economic prosperity and strengthened army with fundamental infrastructure, which has always inspired us to think optimistically. We believed with all our hearts that these achievements would ultimately lead us to Karabakh. The day has arrived at last. We are taking one step after another towards Karabakh. I participated in the first Karabakh war and am a Karabakh veteran. I officially enrolled, volunteering for the front. I have not yet been accepted due to my age and partial mobilization.
Mr. Supreme Commander-in-Chief, I declare once again that I am ready to employ my knowledge and experience for the liberation of my homeland from the Armenian invaders.
