What they wrote to the President

President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ilham Aliyev continues to receive letters.

We present some of them:

From Etem Bulut, Shanli Urfa, Türkiye

‘Dear Mr. President,

I salute You on behalf of all the citizens of my country, congratulate You on Your achievements, and would like to offer our condolences for Your martyrs.

May God help You and may Your sword ever be sharp against the enemy. God willing, our prayers for You are accepted.

Our hearts beat along with You all, our dear Azerbaijan, and we always stand by You.

I am an artist from Shanli Urfa. My children and I are always at Your command. We eagerly look forward to the news of Azerbaijan’s complete victory. Not only Azerbaijan, but the entire Türkiye will rejoice at the news.

May the Lord ever be on Your side, protect our soldiers and prevent the enemy trickery!

We love You very much, we love Azerbaijan, Karabakh belongs to us!’

From Garibshah Feyzullayev, Makiivka, Ukraine

‘Dear Mr. President,

We are grateful to You for the good news You have bestowed upon all Azerbaijanis and the entire world. May God gift You with a long healthy life. We wish You success in Your tireless work for the welfare of Azerbaijani people.

Long live Azerbaijani soldier!

Long live the people of Azerbaijan!

Karabakh is Azerbaijan!’

Raj Gasimov, Zhytomyr, Ukraine

‘Mr. Supreme Commander-in-Chief,

We, the Azerbaijanis in Zhytomyr, are also extremely disturbed with the Armenian provocations on the Karabakh front of 27 September 2020. The Armenian armed forces are once again deliberately targeting the civilian population and infrastructure in the frontline areas. However, the Azerbaijani Army is dealing a devastating blow to the Armenian armed forces at the frontline under Your leadership and instruction. Our Army advances every day, thus banishing the Armenian provocateurs from our lands.

Mr. President, you had time and again called on world states and international organizations and demanded that the Armenian state immediately withdraw from the occupied Azerbaijani lands to ensure peace and stability in the region. Armenia, however, has always disregarded peace talks, displaying a destructive position. We now reap the products of Your wise and resolute steps, which makes us all extremely happy.

Honourable President, we support Your domestic and foreign policy and congratulate You and our people on all these achievements.’

From Erkan Jin, Duzce, Türkiye

‘Dear Mr. President,

I would like to start with asking God for peace for the souls of Azerbaijani soldiers and civilians, who have risen to martyrdom. May Allah bestow patience to the grieving families of the martyrs, You personally, and all the people of Azerbaijan. I wish the injured a speedy recovery. We feel the pain and sorrow of Your people in our hearts.

I am currently a civilian servant in the Republic of Türkiye. I have visited Baku, Azerbaijan, twice for various reasons and had the opportunity to explore the people and geography of Azerbaijan. I am one of the lucky Turks, who have gained many Azerbaijani friends and brothers. I would like You to know that I stand with You until the very end in Your righteous cause.

I would also like to inform You that I am ever ready to come to Azerbaijan and fulfil any tasks You might give me, should You agree so. I can carry food and water for our brotherly soldiers at the frontline, even carry bullets on my back and dig trenches.

‘One nation, two states’ is a motto I live by.

May God always help the people of Azerbaijan.’

From Dilbar Isayev, Zagatala, Azerbaijan

‘Dear Supreme Commander-in-Chief, our dearest President,

Our glorious army has demonstrated true heroism in the battles for the recovery of our lands from enemy foothold and liberated many settlements from occupation. The recovery of Jabrayil, Fuzuli and Zangilan is now paving the road to Shusha and Khankendi.

These days are full of joy of victory for our state and people will forever go down in golden letters in the history of Azerbaijani statehood.

Karabakh is Azerbaijan!’

From Mubariz Atakishiyev, Aghjabadi, Azerbaijan

‘Dear Mr. President,

As a person who has lived in this world for 70 years, I support Your policy and resolute stance. I am overjoyed with the boosted morale among the servicemen and the support our people have given You. This fuels my love for life. I support You and our army at this age and feel extremely happy.

Mr. President, You have built a robust economy and a regular army. Now You are restoring the territorial integrity of our state through Your decisive position. I ask God to help You and our army on this path.

Mr. Supreme Commander-in-Chief, You are making history. Personalities like You and our Great Leader only come about once in a century.

May all the envious states and people feel ashamed, seeing what You have built.

My only wish from God is to be lucky enough to meet You when You arrive in Karabakh after our Great Victory. I thank You once again.’

From Rahima Allahverdiyeva, Shabran, Azerbaijan

‘Dear Mr. President,

With this letter, I, a 76-year-old-grandmother, would like to heartily congratulate the people of Azerbaijan, our Supreme Commander-in-Chief, and our army on the glorious victories on behalf of all the mothers and grandmothers of Tat soldiers, one of our numerous national minorities.

Our lands are recovered from occupation at last through Your orders and command. I am proud that my grandson is demonstrating true heroism in the battles within the Azerbaijani army for the freedom of our Motherland. I consider myself a grandmother to all our soldiers. May God protect them all.

I wish courage, bravery, and good health from God Almighty to our Supreme Commander-in-Chief and our soldiers. The entire nation stands behind You and our army.

We wish You success. May God be ever with You!’

From Vusal Nabiyev, Baku, Azerbaijan

‘Dear Mr. President,

I salute You on behalf of my family and myself. I would like to express my utmost gratitude to You. It is how all the Azerbaijani citizens feel at the moment.

I was born to a family of IDPs. My father was born in Khankendi, and my mother in Lachin. I am a student at the Bahman Safaraliyev Secondary School for Lachin, a school for IDPs in the Bina settlement in Khazar. God willing, we will completely recover our native lands from occupation.

Karabakh belongs to us!

Karabakh is Azerbaijan!’

From Rashid Rahimov, Tovuz, Azerbaijan

‘Dear Mr. President,

Or valiant army is liberating our ancient lands from occupation under Your leadership. Our brave, resolute soldiers and officers are destroying the enemy manpower and military equipment.

I heartily congratulate You and our people on all our victories.

Mr. President, I am currently retired. But as a former police major at the Internal Affairs bodies and a participant in the Karabakh battles, I say resolutely that I am ever ready to leave for the frontline and fight along our brave soldiers, should You give the order.

Long live Azerbaijan! Victory belongs to us! Karabakh is Azerbaijan!’

From Rasul Ibrahimov, Shamkir, Azerbaijan

‘Dear Mr. President,

I congratulate You on the important successes by our National Army and victories on the battlefield. I wish You new victories and a long, healthy life.

You repeat the heroism of Koroghlu, Babek, and Shah Ismail right before the eyes of our people, who will never forget Your bravery.

Mr. President, despite being an 86-year-old man, I appealed to You, saying I was ready to fight the Armenians during the Tovuz events. I remain of the same opinion. You can be sure that the entire Azerbaijani nation, from 7 to 70, stands behind You and support You. Not only me, but the entire generation of my age is also ready to the frontline to fight the enemy. We await Your order!

Dear President, every liberated village prolongs our lives, makes us happy, and lets us walk with our heads high. My only wish is to see our tricolour flag undulate proudly in Shusha and Khankendi.

I wish to see our state flourish further as we end the war in Victory.’

From Tehran Huseynov, Kurdamir, Azerbaijan

‘Dear President, Mr. Supreme Commander-in-Chief,

I thank You on behalf of all oil workers, including me, on the bravery demonstrated by our army and Your resolute steps. We wish You a long and healthy life.

We wholeheartedly believe that we will win our Patriotic War we fight for the righteous cause.

We cannot wait for the day when the Azerbaijani tricolour flag will undulate proudly in every corner of our lands, recovered from occupation.

Karabakh is the heart beating in our chests. Karabakh is Azerbaijan!’

From Targul Alasgarova, Goranboy, Azerbaijan

‘My dearest President,

I write this letter to You on behalf of the entire community of Veyisli village. We wholeheartedly believe that our Motherland will win in this war for justice because we have a powerful and wise head of state like You. We trust You with all our hearts and support every decision You make. We are sure that Your visionary policy will rid our state of all challenges.

God willing, You will soon deliver the news of full victory to us. We are happy that You are with us and that You are our President.

May the souls of our martyrs rest in peace. May God protect You and all our soldiers!’

From Jalil Huseynov, Lachin, Azerbaijan

‘Mr. President, the eternal saviour of the people of Azerbaijan,

Your wise policy has entered the heroic annals that will never be erased from the history of Azerbaijan. The people of Azerbaijan have openheartedly welcomed Your resolute order against the enemy.

Dear President, I, 93-year-old Grandpa Jalil, rejoice like all the people of Azerbaijan. I am so happy that I will see my village again and spend the last years of my life there. My dearest wish is for You to deliver the news of the liberation of Lachin.

Our dear and beloved President, we, the people of Lachin, are very proud of You. I would like to express our endless gratitude on behalf of the Lachin elders. It is our dream to see Your magnificent statue on the highest peak in Lachin.

God bless You!’

From Sarfinaz Bayramova, Astara, Azerbaijan

‘Our dearest and respected President,

I am writing this letter upon a request from my grandmother and would like to express our gratitude to You. My 85-year-old grandmother is overjoyed every time she sees Your speeches on TV and insists on seeing and hugging You to express her utmost gratitude. She is also saving her pension to cut a sacrificial animal when we liberate all our lands.

You are very valuable and dear to us all. We are proud of You and thank You very much for everything, Mr. President.

May God ever protect and bless You. Amen.’

From Eynullah Abbasov, Mingachevir, Azerbaijan

‘Dear President, Mr. Supreme Commander-in-Chief,

I congratulate You on behalf of the staff at Mingachevir Textile LLC on the recovery of Jabrayil, Fuzuli, Zangilan and other residential settlements from the hated enemy.

The good news we receive daily makes us extremely happy, boosting morale among the staff. We are ever with You and stand beside You as loyal sons of our nation.’

From Alizamin Sadiyarov, Baku, Azerbaijan

‘Dear Mr. President!

Thousands of brave children of Azerbaijan have demonstrated true heroism for the freedom and protection of our country throughout history. Our current chronicle of heroism is the product of Your deeds, our Supreme Commander-in-Chief.

We are happy that our generation gets to bear the mission of liberating our lands from occupation. I am also a son of this land. Although I am currently serving my sentence in prison, I dream of participating in the battles for cleansing our holy lands from the Armenian Dashnaks.

My uncle was heroically martyred in the battles for Aghdara in 1992. I so wish to follow in my uncle’s footsteps.

Should this dream of mine come true, I am ready to sacrifice my life for the recovery of our lands as a true son of the Motherland.

Karabakh is Azerbaijan!’

Azərbaycan Ordusunun sentyabrın 27-də işğalçı Ermənistan silahlı qüvvələrinə qarşı başladığı əks-hücum əməliyyatında əldə etdiyi möhtəşəm qələbələr haqqında bundan sonra kitablar yazılacaq, filmlər çəkiləcək. Amma indidən tam əminliklə deyə bilərik ki, cəbhə uğurlarımızın ən başlıca səbəbi Prezident, Ali Baş Komandan İlham Əliyevin həyata keçirdiyi güclü dövlət, güclü ordu strategiyası, milli birlik və döyüşçülərimizin ruh yüksəkliyi idi.
