Oilmen Appeal to the President on Victories at the Front
SOCAR held an online meeting on 5 October at the head office with the participation of the company management.
SOCAR reports that the oilmen, participating at the event, expressed their absolute support for the victorious policy pursued by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to liberate our lands from Armenian occupation and the conditions our head of state put forward in his historic speech, which exposed the treacherous policy of Armenian leadership and pointed them at their rightful place. These conditions require the Armenian prime minister to apologize before the people of Azerbaijan for saying ‘Karabakh is Armenia’ a year ago as he stood on our lands, to admit that Karabakh was not Armenia, to respect the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and to announce when and how the Armenian armed forces will withdraw from the region.
The meeting participants noted that the Azerbaijani oilmen are united closely around President Ilham Aliyev, as all our people are, and will spare no efforts to draw the Great Victory closer. The SOCAR management later discussed the possibilities for additional support for our country and army in these glorious, yet difficult and responsible days. They exchanged views on launching and organizing a support campaign for the Army throughout the company and made corresponding decisions. The company employees will soon start collecting donations for the Armed Forces Relief Fund. Inspired by the recent victories at the front, the Azerbaijani oilmen read out their appeal to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan at the end of the meeting. The appeal reads as follows:
‘Dear President, Mr. Supreme Commander-in-Chief!
We, the oilmen, are immensely rejoiced and proud as the Azerbaijani Army, under the resolute leadership of Your Excellency, liberates our occupied lands from the hateful enemy inch by inch and raises our glorious flag at crucial strategic heights and residential settlements. Our joy knows no bounds. The recovery of the Sugovushan settlement, Jabrayil city, and its surrounding villages, and dozens of settlements in Tartar and Fuzuli, which were previously occupied, is the news we had longed for, which also inspires us to work harder for the sake of our Motherland.
Your resolute and wise orders, and the bravery demonstrated by our valiant soldiers, who have been forcing the enemy to retreat some more every day, have assured us once again that we will soon witness the day of Great Victory when our victorious army will liberate all our lands from the enemy foothold and raise our tricolour flag in our dear Karabakh. We spare no efforts at the rear to support our valiant sons, who are advancing victoriously along the entire frontline.
Our nation has united as an iron fist in these days as Azerbaijan is authoring the most glorious pages in its modern history and our strength is forcing the enemy to flee in panic from our holy lands. The people of Azerbaijan have been proudly demonstrating to the entire world our unshakeable solidarity, confidently walking this historic victory march, which is the product of Your wise policy and tireless efforts. There is no inkling of a doubt that the insidious enemy and their patrons will not be able to withstand this unity. The provocations by the enemy, who has targeted the civilian population and infrastructure in Azerbaijan, will not dissuade our people from the path of victory or break our determination to fight until we win it. Ours is the path of justice and our fight is for the good in this world to prevail. We fight against evil, restore justice, and will walk this road proudly until the very end. The Azerbaijani people are invincible because they are backed by a mighty Commander and a brave Army. Your historic address yesterday, which exposed the treacherous policy pursued by the Armenian leadership and showed them their rightful place, delivered the hearts and minds of all Azerbaijani citizens. Your wit and will amazed us all, as we listened to You. This appeal was further motivation and a great boost of morale for all our people, including us the oilmen. The SOCAR team is now fighting for the Motherland both as volunteers at the frontline and the rear. We fight confidently and work for the economic might of our state tirelessly. We all await Your orders as we are ever ready to volunteer for the frontline.
Mr. Supreme Commander-in-Chief, we, the oilmen, are loyal to the very end to this rightful cause You have started to restore the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, return our compatriots, whose rights have been trampled upon for many years, and reestablish the eternal freedom and happiness of our homeland and our people. We await Your order. All of us are glorious soldiers of Azerbaijan today. We must all spare no effort, work night and day, and contribute all we can to draw the complete liberation of our homeland closer and the righteous cause of Azerbaijan, the celebration of justice.
May God Almighty help You on this holy path. May He give strength to our children, who are fighting tirelessly for justice. May the black clouds be lifted once and for all over our homeland. May the sun dawn once again over our lands, as they are liberated from the enemy. May God protect You and all our people!’
