Our Compatriots in Canada Hold a Solidarity March for Azerbaijan
Our compatriots in Calgary, Canada, have held a solidarity march in support of Azerbaijan.
The State Committee on Work with Diaspora reports that the Alberta-Azerbaijani Cultural Society (ALACS) has put together the event. The march started at the Municipal Plaza downtown and continued to the 3rd SW Street and back.
The march attendees waved Azerbaijani, Turkish, Canadian and Iraqi Turkmen flags and raised posters with messages such as ‘Stop Armenian aggression against Azerbaijan’. They played military marches and chanted slogans supporting Azerbaijan and condemning Armenian aggression.
The event was held upon the permission of the city municipality.
ALACS reports that the society intends to hold such marches on a larger scale every Sunday and invite the media until all our lands are recovered from Armenian occupation.
