Executives and Staff at Organizations of Veterans Donate Their Salaries to the Relief Fund
Colonel-General Tofig Aghahusseinov, chairman of the Organization of War, Labour, and Armed Forces Veterans of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has donated a month’s salary to the Armed Forces Relief Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan following the example set by President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva.
The Organization reports that the staff have also donated a portion of their salaries. Colonel-General Tofig Aghahusseinov highly appreciates that all layers of society are doing their best for our national army at such a crucial period for our Motherland.
The Armed Forces Relief Fund was established as per the Decree of the President of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev dated 17 August 2002. The purpose of setting up the fund is to ensure the growth of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan and strengthen its infrastructure. As per the fund statute, legal entities and natural persons operating in Azerbaijan may voluntarily contribute to the fund to strengthen the material, technical and social infrastructure of the Armed Forces.
