Azerbaijanis in Netherlands Address a Statement to International Organizations on Armenian Military Provocation
The members of the Azerbaijani community in the Kingdom of the Netherlands gathered in Rotterdam. The event was organized by the Congress of Benelux Azerbaijanis.
The meeting was attended by the members of the Coordinating Council of Dutch-Belgian Azerbaijanis, Azerbaijani Turkish Cultural Association, and the members of the Russian-speaking Jewish Community.
The attendees spoke of the military provocations the Armenian armed forces launched as of 27 September and the glorious victories penned by the Azerbaijani Army. The participants expressed their support for our army and the policy our state pursues regarding Nagorno-Karabakh. They also exchanged views on the measures our compatriots have been taking to inform Dutch society about the realities of our country and what more needs to be done.
They also issued a statement demanding an immediate end to Armenian provocations and unconditional withdrawal of Armenian separatists from the occupied lands. The statement has been addressed to international organizations, the European and Dutch parliaments, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands.
The meeting attendees strongly condemned Armenian armed forces bombing Ganja, located far from the Nagorno-Karabakh region, with missiles prohibited as per the Geneva Convention. They declared that Armenia's targeting civilian population and infrastructure goes against all legal norms.
Our compatriots in the Netherlands called on the global community and international organizations to condemn the provocative actions by Armenia and to take steps towards establishing peace and stability in the South Caucasus and restoring the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
