Management Board of Azerbaijan Cultural Center in Uzbekistan appeals to international organizations regarding recent provocations of Armenia
The Management Board of Azerbaijan Cultural Center in Uzbekistan addressed an appeal to the Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN), the UN Security Council, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the leaders of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States, UNESCO and other influential organizations.
“Starting from the morning of September 27, the Armenian armed forces launched a large-scale provocation and fired intensively at the positions and settlements of the Azerbaijani Army located in the front-line zone from large-caliber weapons, mortars and artillery”, says the appeal.
“The Armenian army, violating the norms and principles of international law, shelled civilian objects and houses in the territories of Tartar, Aghdam, Fuzuli and Jabrayil regions, causing casualties and injuries.
The UN Security Council has adopted four resolutions demanding the unconditional withdrawal of the Armenian army from the lands of Azerbaijan. However, these documents stills remain unimplemented.
We appeal to international organizations to stop the aggressor and end the occupation. We don't need others’ lands, but we need our own lands”, said the appeal.
