What they wrote to the President

President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ilham Aliyev continues to receive letters.

We present some of them:

From Javid Ibrahimov, Moscow, Russian Federation

‘Dear President Ilham Aliyev,

We are grateful for all the work You have done, as Your policy serves the progress and prosperity of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

I study at a university in Moscow. I represent the culture of our people like all Azerbaijanis abroad. Our hearts and souls are with You, and I am ever ready to protect the interests of our Motherland.

My family was displaced from Khojavand. We follow all the news carefully and rejoice as we hear of more successes penned by our soldiers. My family is confident that the glorious Azerbaijani Army will soon win an absolute victory. We will surely return to our homes.

Azerbaijan will triumph over Armenia under Your leadership. God willing that day will soon arrive and all IDPs will return home.

May God protect You and our army!

Karabakh is ours!

Karabakh is Azerbaijan!’

From Yelena Fyodorova, Moscow, Russian Federation

‘Dear Mr. President!

Allow me to declare my solidarity with You and all people of Azerbaijan regarding the tragic events unfolding.

Like You, I am also a graduate of Moscow State Institute of International Relations. I assure You that the thinking minds of Russia, most of the intellectuals are of the same opinion as me: The weak ambitions of the Armenian state-mongers, unable to see beyond the tips of their noses, are shedding the blood of the youth, killing civilians.

I truly hope that Your political wisdom will prevent the situation from aggravating further.

I sincerely wish Victory and lasting prosperity to the brave people of Azerbaijan!’

From Dilara Atlas, Sivas, Türkiye

‘Dear Mr. President,

I live in Sivas, Türkiye. I am doing doctoral research on the History of the Middle Ages at Inonu University. The topic of my paper is on the history of Azerbaijan.

As a citizen of the Republic of Türkiye, I am grateful to You for the courageous steps You have taken regarding the Karabakh problem. As a person who loves Azerbaijan as much as Türkiye and sees no difference between them, I am ready to do everything I can for Karabakh’s defence.

I speak English, Persian and Armenian, which helps me research more historical sources and I use the knowledge and facts I uncover to serve the great Turkish nation. Therefore, I am ready to serve Azerbaijan as a historian. We are proud of You.

We are grateful for Your efforts to make Azerbaijan and Türkiye the strongest states in the region.’

From Bayrameli Chakiroghlu, Istanbul, Turkiye,

“Dear President, my dear son,

I would like to express my love to You and my prayers for Your victories in Your righteous cause. History always sees the good win in the end, so we all will. Witnessing these days with my own eyes at the age of 87 brings me immense joy.

Your people have mobilized around You. The prayers of Muslims around the world are with You and Your victory.

With Allah’s grace, may you win and return to Your lands. Inshallah!’

From Gorkem Buyukdagh, Van, Türkiye

‘Dear President Ilham Aliyev, our dearest and greatest leader!

I am a citizen of the Republic of Turkey. I excitedly follow the operations You have launched to prevent the Armenian attacks and always keep You in my prayers.

We are ever ready to spare no effort and fight shoulder to shoulder with Your soldiers for Azerbaijan we call our dear home.

We are looking forward to hearing news of victory!’

From Novruz Alishov, Kalbajar, Azerbaijan

‘Mr. President,

You are a hero who has throned the hearts of all of us, from 7 to 70, as the founder of the most glorious victory in the history of Azerbaijan. The successful foreign policy You have pursued, the decisive steps You have taken, and the resolute stance you have demonstrated have forced both the enemy and their patrons into silence. You have voiced what the Azerbaijani people have kept silent about for 27 years for the entire world to hear. The enemy is finally realizing that the voice of justice is finally heard, and it is their turn to keep quiet. Everyone now understands that Karabakh is Azerbaijan! I am also a brother of a martyr and have been stripped of the right to even visit his grave. The unquenchable flame in my heart subsides as I see my brother finally avenged. I hope that our glorious flag will proudly undulate over every inch of our Motherland, so many of our sons have died for. This will happen under Your leadership. The restless souls of our brave martyrs will finally rest in peace. Long live the Azerbaijani soldier! Long live our proud Supreme Commander-in-Chief!’

From Tariel Abbasov, Goranboy, Azerbaijan

‘Dear Mr. Supreme Commander-in-Chief,

All people of Azerbaijan are attentively following the counterattack operations, conducted under Your leadership. The entire nation, from 7 to 70, is praying for You and our army. The people of Azerbaijan are ever with You. We, the elders of Goranboy, see You as the Hero of the Azerbaijani people. You have finally made us, the elders, stand proud before the future generations. We are confident that You will bestow upon us the joy of victory and integrity of lands very soon. We are well aware how hard You work right this minute. May God support You and our brave and powerful Army.

Mr. President, You are writing history. Your name will always be among the most prominent generals and world leaders for thousands of years to come.’

From Mirislam Seyidzadeh, Jabrayil, Azerbaijan

‘Dear President, Mr. Supreme Commander-in-Chief,

My military comrades and I are currently in Jabrayil. Our hearts rejoice and we feel immensely proud of You as we see our occupied territories recovered. God willing, we will destroy all our enemies.

We are proud to have a President like You. I thank You on behalf of myself and my fellow soldiers.’

From Sevda Humbatova, Fuzuli, Azerbaijan

‘Dear President, Mr. Supreme Commander-in-Chief,

The people of Azerbaijan are currently making glorious history along with our brave Army under Your courageous leadership. I am immensely proud as a teacher that the successes of our mighty country are achieved under Your name.

Receiving their orders from You, the Azerbaijani Army is duly performing their assigned missions and combat tasks, as they are finally raising our tricolour flag after 30 long years, as they recover our occupied territories.

We believe, rely on and are proud of our President. We are truly happy to have a President who stands guard over our national interests with his decisive, courageous, and wise decisions.

Mr. President, I am once again grateful to You, our victorious army, and the brave Azerbaijani soldier.

Karabakh belongs to us! Karabakh is Azerbaijan!’

From Orkhan Azimov, Baku, Azerbaijan

‘Dear Mr. President,

The entire nation is rejoicing at the righteous policy You pursue to restore our territorial integrity and recover our lands from the enemy. We are experiencing these days, these feelings, and this unity thanks to You, Mr. President. I would like to let You know that we support every step You take in this direction, and we always stand by You. We believe in You and are proud of You!’

From Rahman Gurbanov, Aghjabadi, Azerbaijan

‘Dear Mr. President,

We are proud of the victories authored by our glorious Army under Your leadership. We rejoice at all our achievements. We are proud that we have a valiant Army and an able Commander-in-Chief at its reigns. We thank You immensely for all this.

Failing to withstand the retaliation by our mighty army, the Armenian invaders target our civilians, demonstrating their helplessness. We do not fear their attacks, as we believe in our Army. We know that we will come out victorious.

Ceasefire callings by some leaders cannot turn our president from the path of justice he is on.

Mr. Supreme Commander-in-Chief, we wish You to hold a Victory Parade in Azadliq Square as the National Hero of Azerbaijan.’

From Amil Mirzaliyev, Fuzuli, Azerbaijan

‘Mr. Supreme Commander-in-Chief!

‘I listened to Your speech on the liberation of Fuzuli from the fascist enemies, shouting in tears of joy. I am no longer a refugee. Thank you, Mr. Supreme Commander-in-Chief! I thank the brave Azerbaijani Army! Thank You for returning to us the Fuzuli Regional Centre after 27 years! Thank You for delivering us from the oppressed name of a refugee and a displaced person! May GOD help You on this holy war for the Motherland! May GOD always bestow You upon our people and Motherland! We are stronger with You, Mr. Supreme Commander-in-chief! We are one of the few lucky nations that have a great leader like You! Karabakh belongs to us! Karabakh is Azerbaijan!’

From Atraf Alabassov, Kurdamir, Azerbaijan

‘Mr. Supreme Commander-in-Chief,

The Azerbaijani Army is steadfastly advancing in the battles for the freedom of our lands and our Karabakh. I congratulate You, the Azerbaijani Army, and people, the disabled and veterans of the Karabakh War on this occasion.

My only child, my son Abdul, was drafted on 30 September, currently training at the N military unit. Back in my time, I served at the artillery unit in Batumi during the USSR. I am an artilleryman. I was drafted in 1993 under the command of our great leader Heydar Aliyev, when I participated in the battles in Fuzuli and Aghdam. I now wish to voluntarily join the Karabakh battles.

I am proud of the Azerbaijani Army. Long live the Azerbaijani Army. Karabakh belongs to us! Karabakh is Azerbaijan!’

From Gazanfar Bayramov, Baku, Azerbaijan

‘Dear Mr. President,

Although I am a foreign citizen, I am ever ready to serve my native land and country. Serving my Motherland and liberating our lands from invaders would be a great honour for me, should You order so.

Our national leader Heydar Aliyev spared no efforts to peacefully resolve the conflict, but the Armenian usurpers and their patrons did not renounce their occupant intentions.

Back in the 1970s, Heydar Aliyev, the leader of Azerbaijan, informed the USSR leadership about the deviance and establishment of terrorist organizations by the Armenians. I personally applied to relevant institutions in Russia for a closer investigation of the terrorist acts committed by Armenians in Moscow between 1975 and 1977.

The Armenian claims resulted in the occupation of our lands. However, I am confident that, like all Azerbaijanis, we will win this fight for justice and truth.

I am ever ready to fight against the terrorist Armenian fascists at the frontline. I wish to be a part of the reconstruction in Karabakh as we liberate our lands.

We are proud of You! Long live our people, long live our Army!’

From Asif Aliyev, Barda, Azerbaijan

‘Dear President, Mr. Supreme Commander-in-Chief,

I congratulate You on the liberation of Karabakh, an integral part of Azerbaijan, from occupation and wish our glorious army further success. The entire Azerbaijani nation currently lives under a single motto: ‘Everything for the front, everything for the Victory.’

You have built a powerful army over the 30 years of ceasefire, and we are now dictating our terms. Your political successes continue along Your military achievements.

God willing, You will show the entire world that Azerbaijan boasts peaceful people, yet are able to protect their own lands. Our great leader did not wrongly say that Azerbaijan will rise like a sun in the world.

Karabakh is Azerbaijan!’

From Vagif Huseynov, Mingachevir, Azerbaijan

‘Dear President, Mr. Supreme Commander-in-Chief!

The people of Azerbaijan, including myself, are rejoiced at Your order to launch counteroffensive operations to prevent further provocations by Armenian invaders. We have been waiting for this order for the longest of times. As the proverb goes, ‘It might be later, but better’.

The precise and professional military operations the Azerbaijani Army has been conducting since 27 September have destroyed several Armenian personnel and military equipment and liberated many of our occupied territories.

We all know well that our President is a sincere and educated head of state, who boasts exceptional leadership and diplomatic skills, an extensive outlook, and a great reputation globally. Everyone, from seven to seventy, feels proud and more confident about our future as a nation, as they listen to the speeches by our President.

Although Pashinyan is the prime minister, he is failing his own country due to a lack of negotiation and management skills. The Armenian people have already lost faith in him. Failing at the front, they resort to shelling our civilian territories, sometimes cities far outside the war zone, yet again proving their brutality. Although the global community remains silent to this brutality, our mighty Army, under the leadership of our Supreme Commander-in-Chief, is retaliating worthily.

Mr. President, we know that You are working your hardest to protect our people and our territorial integrity. We wish You further success on this difficult, yet honourable, path. May God protect You!

Long live the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev!

Long live the Republic of Azerbaijan!

Long live the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan!

Karabakh is Azerbaijan!’

Azərbaycan Ordusunun sentyabrın 27-də işğalçı Ermənistan silahlı qüvvələrinə qarşı başladığı əks-hücum əməliyyatında əldə etdiyi möhtəşəm qələbələr haqqında bundan sonra kitablar yazılacaq, filmlər çəkiləcək. Amma indidən tam əminliklə deyə bilərik ki, cəbhə uğurlarımızın ən başlıca səbəbi Prezident, Ali Baş Komandan İlham Əliyevin həyata keçirdiyi güclü dövlət, güclü ordu strategiyası, milli birlik və döyüşçülərimizin ruh yüksəkliyi idi.
