14 Doctors of the Educational-Surgical Clinic by Medical University Volunteer at the Frontline
All medical centres operating across the country, including the Educational-Surgical Clinic by Azerbaijan Medical University, have switched to reinforced work mode due to the events at the frontline. The doctors at the clinic spare no efforts to help our servicemen, injured in the battles for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, and the civil population, who have suffered as a result of Armenian provocation.
The emergency care, intensive care, surgery, and other departments at the clinic have been fully prepped to receive the injured upon the order of the Rector of the University Professor Garay Garabeyli. 14 members of the university and clinic have volunteered to provide medical aid to the wounded citizens and soldiers at the frontline.
The chief doctor at the clinic, Professor Ramiz Polukhov said that there is an urgent need for general surgeons, cardiac surgeons, maxillofacial surgeons, traumatologists, and resuscitation doctors. Over 60 doctors of the clinic are waiting for their turn to work voluntarily at the frontline.
‘Azerbaijanis are peace-loving people, who never wished for a bloodshed. The leadership of the country has been demonstrating nothing but tolerance, trying to resolve the conflict peacefully for 30 years. However, the policy pursued by the Armenian leadership put an end to the peace negotiations for the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and they continue their aggressive policy to this day. This is why, the people of Azerbaijan have stood up to liberate their historic lands under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of Azerbaijan, President Ilham Aliyev. Unfortunately, no war is fought without losses. I bow before the parents of our heroic children who fight for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and the freedom of Karabakh. May our martyrs rest in peace and I wish for speedy recovery for our wounded soldiers. The victory is ours!’, the chief doctor said.
