Sole Female Soldier, Martyred in the Patriotic War
The photograph of Arasta Bakhishova, the first and only female soldier martyred in the 44-day Patriotic War for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, became one of the most shared photos on social media. As the battles were fought on the frontline, everybody was devastated to hear the news of her fall. People expressed their condolences to Bakhishova’s family and posted expensively her heroic story.
Sergeant Arasta Bakhishova, a military medical officer, carried the wounded servicemen from the field during the battles for the liberation of Gubadli, where she was martyred on 23 October.
Azərbaycan Ordusunun sentyabrın 27-də işğalçı Ermənistan silahlı qüvvələrinə
qarşı başladığı əks-hücum əməliyyatında əldə etdiyi möhtəşəm qələbələr haqqında
bundan sonra kitablar yazılacaq, filmlər çəkiləcək. Amma indidən tam əminliklə
deyə bilərik ki, cəbhə uğurlarımızın ən başlıca səbəbi Prezident, Ali Baş Komandan
İlham Əliyevin həyata keçirdiyi güclü dövlət, güclü ordu strategiyası, milli birlik və
döyüşçülərimizin ruh yüksəkliyi idi.
