10 Smerch Missiles, Fired by Armenian AF, Discovered in Goranboy
The Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) have discovered 10 9M528 Smerch missiles, fired by the Armenian armed forces, during search operations in the Goranboy region on 4-8 October 2020.
According to ANAMA, bomblets of type 9M525 were found inside three of the missiles. These munitions are classified as prohibited under the Convention on Cluster Munitions.
