Israeli Expert: Armenia wants to scare off the local population by shelling civilian cities of Azerbaijan (Trend)
Israeli expert Mikhail Finkel says Armenians pursue a premeditated purpose in firing at the civilian cities of Azerbaijan, which is to scare off the local population and force them to pressure the government to end the war as soon as possible.
‘Shelling civilians is a violation of the Geneva Convention and international humanitarian law. Unfortunately, we do not hear the loud voices condemning the actions of Armenia. The game we watch is completely different. They are either completely silent, ignoring the conflict, or they condemn both sides, calling for the conflict to end.’
The expert added that France’s support for Armenia is explained with a large Armenian community in the country: ‘We have been observing pro-Armenian and anti-Azerbaijan propaganda in speeches by the French president.’
