27 years’ longing finally over – People of Jabrayil are returning home (Report)
Azerbaijani territories have been under occupation for almost 30 years as a result of Armenian aggression. Many valiant sons of Azerbaijan have sacrificed their lives for those lands, giving hope to all the people that their lands would one day be recovered.
The day did arrive. The Azerbaijani Army, equipped with a strong will, power and determination, has been liberating our lands, occupied by Armenia, for the last ten days. The Azerbaijani Army is truly writing history, conducting an anti-terror operation on its own lands to ensure the territorial integrity of our motherland.
The liberated lands are celebrating these days like a true holiday. 4 October is especially significant for the people of Jabrayil because the Azerbaijani Army has finally ended their longing that lasted for 27 years. The city and villages of Jabrayil have been recovered from occupation. The inhabitants of Jabrayil will at last reunite with their land, villages and historical ancestral homes. The souls of martyrs, the valiant sons of Azerbaijan, who died for those lands, will now rejoice.
