Alexander Kostin: ‘It is our duty to restore the integrity of our homeland and historical justice’ (Azertag)
‘I would like to first address the Russian community. The Russian TV channels host numerous talk shows on current issues. The topics are rather clear and mostly based on logic and analysis. Surprisingly, when it comes to the Karabakh issue, one gets the impression that the commenters have still not grasped the topic in thirty years. I understand that there are unreliable sources. But the fundamental issue is whose land the war takes place in. These are undoubtedly Azerbaijani lands. These are the territories that Armenia occupied thirty years ago. Azerbaijan, meanwhile, is recovering its territories on legal grounds in conformity with international norms’, said Alexander Kostin, a veteran of Azerbaijani journalism.
Kostin explained how Pashinyan got to come to power. He was practically appointed by George Soros – the main organizer and beneficiary of the colour revolutions around the world – and his group: ‘They want to put a halt to the multipolar world of equal and independent peoples, gained at a high price. Therefore, war was inevitable because it always is when destructive forces come to power.’
The veteran journalist noted that the people of Azerbaijan have today united as a fist to protect their homeland: ‘Safeguarding the territorial integrity of our country is a matter of honour for each one of us. Regardless of ethnicity, we are all Azerbaijani because we were all raised in this land. There are 10 million of us and it is our duty and honour to restore the integrity of our Motherland. The queues in front of the enlistment offices reminded me of the images from 1941. Victory will be ours!’
