The village of Boyukbeili in Aghdam under artillery fire (Azertag)
The Armenian armed forces continue shelling densely populated residential areas of Azerbaijan, damaging public infrastructure and the property of the residents.
The Boyukbeili village in the Aghdam district also became a target for the enemy, who fired artillery at the settlement in the afternoon of 6 October. Valeh Gasimov, the owner of a severely damaged farm, said: ‘I was at home when I suddenly heard a loud explosion. When I went outside, a saw the stack of hay on fire. There were 1,500 bales of hay. One of my cows was killed, another injured.’
A shell fell into Sabir Rustamov’s backyard, injuring Rustamov himself. He shared his story with us: ‘It was afternoon and I was watering the animals in the stable. As I wanted to feed them, I heard a shell and lay flat in front of the stable. After the explosion, I realized that I was injured and my arm was bleeding. They removed the shrapnel at the hospital. The explosion destroyed the stable and the water tank, it killed 4 animals and injured the rest. It also damaged the house. The Armenians are showing their true colours by targeting civilians. I am positive that we will soon escape the Armenian scourge thanks to our courageous army.’
Since early morning on 27 September, the Armenian armed forces launched a large-scale provocation campaign, firing intensively large-calibre weapons, mortars, and artillery at the positions of the Azerbaijani Army along the front line and residential areas of Azerbaijan. They targeted civilians, destroying and severely damaging their houses, property and infrastructure. The command of the Azerbaijani Army has decided to launch a counter-attack operation along the entire frontline to prevent the combat campaign of the Armenian armed forces and to ensure the safety of our civilian population.
