Azerbaijani political parties’ statement on France’s stance regarding Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in spotlight of Egyptian media
The Egyptian newspaper Almasryalyoum and portal Aldiplomasy published the statement made by Azerbaijan’s political parties regarding France’s stance on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The statement strongly condemns the groundless allegations made by French President Emmanuel Macron on September 30 in Riga regarding the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict and what is happening at the front and the remarks voiced by the French president in support of Armenia. It is noted that the unfounded accusations by the president of a country like France triggered a strong protest by the Azerbaijani side. The statement also stresses that France has failed to maintain its impartiality as a co-chair country of the OSCE Minsk Group.
The statement published in the Egyptian media says that France supports Armenia, an occupant country, takes a biased position, and fails to fulfill its mediation mission by standing with the invader. Therefore, it is necessary to discuss France's withdrawal from the co-chairmanship of the Minsk Group.
