Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Hikmet Hajiyev gave an interview to the ‘Ukraine-24’ TV channel about the military provocations of Armenia.
In the interview, Hikmet Hajiyev talked about the recent military provocations of Armenia against Azerbaijan and the defence of our state's sovereign territory, as well as the shelling of our civilians and facilities.
Hikmet Hajiyev said that Azerbaijan has tried to peacefully settle the conflict for 30 years. Azerbaijan has been interested in the settlement of the conflict in the format of the OSCE Minsk Group. However, Armenia has always indicated an unconstructive position.
The statement by Armenian PM ‘Karabakh is Armenia, full stop’ has shown Armenia’s interest in violation of the negotiation process. Apart from that, the Armenian army started to commit provocations against Azerbaijan by killing civilians and shelling civilian objects.
Hikmet Hajiyev also mentioned that Azerbaijan and Ukraine supported each other’s territorial integrity, which complied with norms and principles of international law and principles.
