A special program on the events taking place in Nagorno-Karabakh was aired on the Japanese TV channel "Asahi TV".
The program provided extensive information about the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the current armed conflict and its causes.
Professor Yoko Hirose of Keio University of Japan, who was invited to the program as the main guest, said that the current military operations in the region were caused by Armenia. That neighboring state -Armenia has occupied 20 percent of Azerbaijan's lands. This area includes the Nagorno-Karabakh region and seven surrounding regions.
The professor highlighted that the battles were going on in the territories of Azerbaijan, not in Armenia as stated in some means of information. He also informed that Azerbaijan, which was exposed to the Armenian provocations, has the right to liberate its lands from the enemy’s occupation in accordance with international law and principles.
Doctoral student of Hokkaido University, Alibey Mammadov, who attended the program, mentioned 4 resolutions of the UN Security Council related to the conflict. He noted that the Armenian leadership and army grossly violate international law and carry out terrorist acts on the territory of a sovereign state.
