The next military provocation of Armenia led to the clashes and escalation of the situation on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border. Currently, the Azerbaijani Army fights for the liberation of its lands recognized by the international community.
Azerbaijani ambassador to Georgia Faig Guliyev spoke about it to the ‘Kviris Palitra’ newspaper.
The ambassador said that Armenia has carried out an aggressive policy against Azerbaijan over the past 30 years.
Today, they are shelling not only at the military positions of Azerbaijan but also at the civilian population. As a result, there are deaths among civilians, some of whom are children. Additionally, residential houses and buildings, and civil infrastructure were damaged, none of which are related to the contact line.
“The time has come to restore historical justice. Armenian occupant forces must leave the Azerbaijani territories. Currently, the occupying army received a good response from the Azerbaijani Armed Forces,” Guliyev also added.
The ambassador also reacted to Prime Minister of Georgia, Giorgi Gakharia’s proposal about organizing a meeting of the parties to the conflict in Tbilisi. He said: “We are ready to hold negotiations if Armenia withdraws its military troops from the territories of Azerbaijan. This is both the will of the Azerbaijani people and the position of the state.”
