“I left Gubadli barefoot and will return to the district barefoot” (AzVision)
“When the Commander-in-Chief announced the liberation of Gubadli city and the district’s villages from occupation, I knelt and cried. Twenty-seven years ago, when we left our house in Gubadli, we knelt on the ground and cried that we were leaving our native land. Today, we are shedding tears of joy for the day when we will return to those lands,” said Gulbaniz Eminova, a resident of the village of Khanlig in Gubadli district.
Eminova, who rejoices over the liberation of her native village from the Armenian occupation, is a second Karabakh war veteran and a reservist.
“When I left Gubadli, I was 24 years old. I was in military service and worked as a nurse in a hospital for 2 years. My husband Vali Shirinov was the commander of sappers. He was martyred on August 31, 1993, when Gubadli was occupied. The liberation of Gubadli is a double celebration for me, my wife's blood was avenged. May Allah protect our soldiers, they stand face-to-face with the enemy and liberate our lands. May Allah have mercy on our martyrs. Today I am also registered and ready to go to the war zone at any time. My son is 27 years old and he is also ready to join the ongoing battles,” she said.
Eminova, who is currently residing in a town intended for IDPs in Sumgayit city, added: “When our district was occupied, we left it barefoot because we did not expect that the lands would be occupied. I dream of returning to my village, my homeland barefoot.”
On October 26, the glorious Azerbaijani Army liberated the city of Gubadli and several villages of Gubadli district from the Armenian occupation.
