The second largest city of Azerbaijan, Ganja, and the cities located near the Nagorno-Karabakh region were subjected to rocket firing by Armenia.
The Indonesian state news agency ANTARA and the well-known "Republika.co.id" portal spread the news about it on October 4.
It is reported that the leaders of the Armenian military forces stationed in Nagorno-Karabakh, which is the territory of Azerbaijan, declared that they also targeted other cities of Azerbaijan. This step could lead to further escalation of the conflict and it carries great risks.
The articles referred to the statements made by Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov: “Armenian firing on Azerbaijan's territories is a clear provocation and serves to expand the territory of the conflict.”
It was emphasized that Araik Harutunyan, the "leader" of Nagorno-Karabakh, announced that he aimed to attack other cities of Azerbaijan, and his words "military positions located in other cities of Azerbaijan are our target from now on" are included in the articles.
Besides, the articles included Armenian officials’ opinions that they would defend the Armenian people by all means.
