China Global Television Network of the Central Chinese TV shared the news on the Armenian strike in Ganja city.
The news which was prepared with reference to the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan stated that as a result of the rocket attack by Armenians on Ganja, the second largest city of Azerbaijan, one civilian was killed and 4 others were injured. It was also reported that Armenia took responsibility for the rocket attack on Ganja city.
Another material on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict on the website of the CGTN channel with a large readership refers to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev’s social media post on the liberation of several settlements, including Sugovushan on October 3. The President of Azerbaijan congratulated the commander of the military formation on this occasion.
In the news, it was stated that the press secretary of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia indirectly admitted that the Azerbaijani Army captured several positions.
In the news, in his address to the nation the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan admitted that a large number of military equipment in Armenia was destroyed as a result of the fighting.
The material, which provided information about the history of the conflict, asserts that Nagorno-Karabakh was an autonomous region within Azerbaijan during the Soviet period. During the war that broke out during the collapse of the former USSR, Armenian armed forces occupied not only Nagorno-Karabakh but also several adjacent regions around it, including Soguvushan. Although several resolutions adopted by the UN Security Council require the withdrawal of troops from those areas, the Armenian side ignores those demands.
The article also included President Ilham Aliyev’s statement from his interview with "Al-Jazeera" TV channel that the fighting will not stop until Armenia leaves those territories. Another statement made by the Azerbaijani President also included: “The efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group, which mediates to resolve the conflict, have not yielded any results for decades.” The President of Azerbaijan stated that one of the main reasons for this was the lack of pressure and insistence by mediators to start the implementation of UN Security Council resolutions. "We don't have time to wait another 30 years. The conflict must be resolved now," President Ilham Aliyev said.
The material also provided information about the sending of members of terrorist groups from Syria, Lebanon, and other countries by Armenia to the occupied territories of Azerbaijan.
