The Kyrgyz media portals ‘goldenbridgenews.com’ and ‘turktoday.info’ have published articles about the damage caused to civilians, infrastructure and historical buildings as a result of the shelling of Ganja city by Armenia. Another publication dedicated to the shelling of Ganja city has been published on ‘fikr.uz’ website of Uzbekistan.
It was stated that using heavy rocket and artillery fire, the Armenian armed forces targeted the densely populated areas of the civilian population of Ganja, the second largest city of Azerbaijan, starting from 10:00 on October 4, on the instructions of the military-political leadership of Armenia.
Kyrgyz portals drew attention to the statement made by the assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and the head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev on his Twitter account: “Azerbaijan reserves the right to take adequate measures against legitimate military targets to protect civilians and force Armenia to peace.”
Regarding the issue, the Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov's views were also included in publications. The minister stated that firing from the territory of Armenia on the territory of Azerbaijan was an open provocation and expanded the war zone.
