The Deputy Chairperson of the Council of Ministers and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dr. Bisera Turković was interviewed by ‘Radiosarajevo.ba’ radio.
In her interview, the politician supported Azerbaijan’s position one more time.
"Regarding the issue of the Nagorno-Karabakh region, we support all UN resolutions and other acts of the international organizations. The House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted a resolution on the recognition and respect of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Everyone voted in favor of this resolution. With this resolution, we call for the implementation of all the recommendations, resolutions and declarations of international organizations, especially the four resolutions of the UN Security Council (Resolutions No. 822, 853, 874 and 884) regarding the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and the immediate and unconditional withdrawal of the Armenian units from the occupied territories of Azerbaijan. So this is our overall commitment to foreign policy. Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue to be guided by international law, justice, and all adopted international and domestic resolutions," Bisera Turkovic also said in her interview.
Note, an official document on the aggression of Armenia against Azerbaijan and the Khojaly genocide - a resolution on "recognition and respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan" - was adopted by an overwhelming majority at the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina on February 26, 2013, the 21st anniversary of the Khojaly genocide.
