President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev stated that it is too early to talk about the deployment of any international peacekeepers to these regions at a time when fighting is going on in the Nagorno-Karabakh region occupied by Armenia.

This is reflected in a video report aired on Japan’s NHK TV channel on October 16. It is noted that despite the declaration of a humanitarian ceasefire on October 10, the conflict is going on.

The video report says President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev stated that it is too early to talk about the possible deployment of peacekeepers amid the ongoing battles.

It is also stressed that the agreement on a humanitarian ceasefire was reached through the mediation of Russia. The Japanese TV channel reports that Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said it is possible to deploy peacekeepers and observers to the territory only with the consent of both parties.

The report notes that Azerbaijan sees the possible cessation of hostilities only after the withdrawal of Armenian troops from the occupied Nagorno-Karabakh region.

Azərbaycan Ordusunun sentyabrın 27-də işğalçı Ermənistan silahlı qüvvələrinə qarşı başladığı əks-hücum əməliyyatında əldə etdiyi möhtəşəm qələbələr haqqında bundan sonra kitablar yazılacaq, filmlər çəkiləcək. Amma indidən tam əminliklə deyə bilərik ki, cəbhə uğurlarımızın ən başlıca səbəbi Prezident, Ali Baş Komandan İlham Əliyevin həyata keçirdiyi güclü dövlət, güclü ordu strategiyası, milli birlik və döyüşçülərimizin ruh yüksəkliyi idi.
