Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev gave an interview to the Japanese Asahi TV.
The video includes information about the intensification of the confrontation as a result of the Armenian provocation and the liberation of strategic height as a result of the counterattack of the Azerbaijani army. The reportage emphasised Azerbaijan’s devoutness to liberate its territories, which have been under the occupation for 30 years.
“Azerbaijan insists on the unconditional, complete, and immediate withdrawal of the Armenian army from our occupied lands. We believe that Japan will also affect the adoption of new resolutions through the United Nations,” Hajiyev stated in his interview.
Hikmet Hajiyev also expressed his confidence that Japan, which respects international law, will also contribute to the settlement of the conflict.
The video reportage also underlined Hikmet Hajiyev’s call to the international community to prevent the involvement of mercenaries in the conflict by Armenia.
