Abbasov family from Nuzgar village: We are returning to revive our native lands (AZERTAC)
Since the beginning of the Patriotic War on September 27, the glorious Azerbaijani Army liberated several cities, villages, and settlements from the Armenian occupation. Residents of these cities, villages, and settlements are now rejoicing that 27 years of homesickness is over.
Members of the Abbasov family, who are temporarily residing in Shamkir district, rejoiced over the liberation of their native village - Jabrayil district’s Nuzgar village - from the Armenian occupation. They are now looking forward to the day when they will return to their native village.
The family head, Tarkhan Abbasov, said he has always lived with the hope of returning to his native village Nuzgar. “Homeland starts from the place of your birth. Every day we expected that we would return to our native Jabrayil. I am glad that we will be able to visit the graves of our ancestors. We are returning to revive our land,” he said.
Gatiba Abbasova, another member of the family, said they had lived with memories during these years. “Our house was located in such a place that all the neighbors came and cooked tandoor bread at us. In other words, we lived in friendly and peaceful conditions,” she said.
84-year-old grandmother Seyran is one of those who rejoiced over the liberation of Nuzgar village from the Armenian occupation.
Like the adults, the younger members of the family are looking forward to the day when they will return to their native Nuzgar village.
