Armenia’s military provocations resulted in casualties among Azerbaijani civilians, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Ukraine Elmira Akhundova said on the live broadcast of the news program of Ukraina 24 TV channel.
The diplomat noted that the Armenian army continues to shell residential settlements in Azerbaijan.
Asked about the latest situation at the front, Ambassador Akhundova said the Azerbaijani Army is successfully conducting counteroffensive operations. She also emphasized that there are enough facts about the involvement of foreign mercenaries by Armenia.
“Armenia also recruited terrorists and foreign mercenaries during the first Karabakh war. Even now, Armenia continues to involve members of ASALA, PKK and other terrorist organizations. There are quite a few videos about it. Therefore, Azerbaijan is not only fighting a war for its territorial integrity, but we are also carrying out anti-terrorist operations,” the ambassador added.
