Grandmother Imarat: Not only us but also our grandchildren, who have not seen those places, are looking forward to returning to Papi (AZERTAC)
“Like many of our settlements, the longing for the Motherland of the residents of the Jabrayil district’s Papı village, which was liberated from the enemy occupation, has ended. The liberation of Papi village rejoiced its residents. Papi residents, who have been residing in Bilasuvar district for many years, are looking forward to returning to their native village soon.
Imarat Sharifova, a resident of Papi village, said that even though they were displaced from their homes, they have always felt special attention and care from the state.
“However, we have been living with longing for the Motherland for 27 years. The joy of the liberation of our village erased the suffering we had experienced during these years. We spent our youth in Papi. Although it is a small village, it has a very beautiful nature. We thank our victorious Commander-in-Chief and our glorious army for giving us this joy. Not only us, even our grandchildren and teenagers, who have not seen those places, are looking forward to returning to their ancestral lands,” she said.
Her grandchildren are dreaming of returning to Papi soon, living and studying there.
Aysura Hasanova, who was born in Bilasuvar and heard about Papi village only from her grandmother and parents, also wishes to return to her Motherland soon.
“Even when we visited the liberated Jojug Marjanl village, we were happy because we got closer to our village. However, since we could not see those lands, we did not fully experience this joy. Whenever my father talked about our village, I thought of those places longingly. Now this longing is over, I will go to our native village, absorb the air of those places and drink its pure water,” Aysura added.
On October 21, the glorious Azerbaijani Army liberated the village of Papi from the Armenian occupation.
