Ganja attacked by order of Armenia's military-political leadership, says Azerbaijani prosecutor general
Another act of terrorism against the Azerbaijani people was committed by order of the military-political leadership of Armenia on October 11. The Azerbaijani second-largest city, ancient Ganja, with a population of over 500,000 people, and which is located at a great distance from the combat zone, was subjected to missile fire from the Armenian armed forces, the latest data said that as a result of the attack, 9 civilians, including 4 women, were killed, and 34 civilians were injured as a result of missiles fired by Armenian Armed Forces at apartment buildings in the central part of Ganja, Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev said during a press conference organized for local and foreign journalists in the administrative building of the Ganja City Prosecutor's Office.
“In this regard, a criminal case was initiated under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan. At present, intensive investigative measures are being taken on the spot. We’ll use all international and domestic legal means to prosecute the military-political leadership of Armenia, which has committed this crime against humanity and mankind,” he stressed.
The Armenian Armed Forces, flagrantly violating norms and principles of international law, the Geneva Conventions of 1949 and Additional Protocols to it, as well as the requirements of the humanitarian ceasefire declared on October 10th, continue to deliberately target the civilian population of Azerbaijan, and intensively bombard densely populated settlements.
Note, Armenian armed forces fired missiles at multi-apartment residential buildings in the central part of Ganja, the second largest city of Azerbaijan. According to the latest data, 9 civilians, including 4 women, were killed as a result of missiles fired at apartment buildings in the central part of Ganja.
