‘We’re ready to sacrifice our lives for Azerbaijan’ - former fighter (AzVision)
The fact that the Azerbaijani Army is successfully suppressing the provocations of the Armenian armed forces at the front inspired all Azerbaijani citizens, regardless of their nationality and religion. Azerbaijanis, Russians, Lezgis, Tatars, Avars, Jews, Talishs and representatives of many other nations are determined to drive the enemy forces out of our lands shoulder to shoulder.
One of them is Dmytry Singhin, a Baku resident, who fought for Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity on the ranks of an international battalion, which also included Azerbaijani citizens of various nationalities, during the first Karabakh war.
“Neither then nor now, when my homeland is threatened by the enemy who expelled the peaceful population of Azerbaijan and seized our lands, I cannot stand aside. Despite the many wounds I received during the first Karabakh war, I aspire to join the ranks of our glorious army and participate in the liberation of Karabakh. Fortunately, I have relevant experience,” Singhin said.
He noted, the enemy is cunning and is suffering a heavy defeat on the battlefield. For this reason, the enemy continues to disseminate disinformation.
“For example, the enemy alleges that Azerbaijan forcibly sends national minorities to the front. Of course, such allegations are fake. No one forced us to go to the front in the 90s, and now no one is forcing us to go to the front. For all of us, Azerbaijan is our homeland, and we are ready to sacrifice our lives for Azerbaijan. All of us - Azerbaijanis, Russians, Lezgis, Talishs, Jews and other peoples living in our Azerbaijan - are patriots,” Singhin added.
