"I owe to my 7 martyred brothers" - Former intelligence officer (AzVision)
"There were eight of us. My seven martyred brothers and I have an unfinished mission. As the eighth, I have a moral duty to fulfill this mission. I want to be there right now, fight side by side with our fighters, and complete the mission."
Former fighter and veteran Agil Ahmadov said this in his statement to Azvision.az. He said that they also want to fight like old fighters in the reserve.
"I applied to the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription of the Republic of Azerbaijan to fight again. I have my military uniform ready. We are just waiting for the order. Today, not only I, but all war veterans are ready to fight again. We have great hope for our army, our soldiers, and our fighters. We observe the results, and our joy is boundless. We don't need another place. We need our land. We suppose that they will need our support and will call us to fight."
Note, that 23 years ago, two intelligence teams were sent to Karabakh on a special mission. The group went behind the enemy and completed the mission. First, the group returned without loss. However, the enemy surrounded the second group and told them to surrender. After the offer of surrender was rejected by our fighters, a heavy battle began. Our intelligence officers have destroyed a significant number of the enemy's manpower. When they ran out of bullets, they blew themselves up with grenades to avoid being captured by the enemy. 7 members of the 8-member group were martyred. Ahmadov is the only intelligence officer who survived that group.
