“My 87-year-old mother calls her relatives to congratulate them on the liberation of their villages from the occupation. It is the highest feeling for me to see her happiness,” said Nazakat Teymurova, People’s Artist of Azerbaijan and a famous mugham singer.
The mugham singer said she is following the news from the front with tears of joy and prays for Azerbaijani soldiers.
“The motherland cannot be replaced by anything. Years pass, and troubles are forgotten, but this longing does not pass. My 87-year-old mother calls her relatives and congratulates them, she is happy like a child. I can't hold back my tears when I see the happiness on my mother’s face. In my dreams, I see our settlement. Maybe I have not remembered the successes I have achieved in these 30 years, but I have not forgotten the beauties I lived in Agdam until I was 16 years old. I thank our president and our army for ending our 30-year longing,” Teymurova said.
