Iraqi MP expresses support for Azerbaijan (Report)
Iraqi Turkmen support the just struggle of fraternal Azerbaijan, said Aydin Maruf, an Iraqi MP from the Turkmen Front in Erbil.
He noted that for almost 30 years, Armenia has been committing crimes in front of the eyes of the world by ignoring Azerbaijan’s calls for peace.
“During these years, Armenia has not taken a single step back from its policy of aggression. The crime Armenia committed against the civilian population in the border region is completely against humanity and international law. Especially recently, the regular provocations by Armenia against Azerbaijan constitute a gross violation of international law. Nothing can stop Azerbaijan from now on. Today, Azerbaijan has a strong army that is capable of liberating the country’s territories from occupation,” Maruf said.
The Iraqi lawmaker continued: “We are receiving good news. Karabakh is ours! Karabakh belongs to Azerbaijan! Every soldier who died in Azerbaijan is our child. On behalf of the Turkmens from Erbil, we appeal to our Azerbaijani brothers and say, be strong, our hearts are with you! Victory will be ours!"
