Iraqi media highlighted the counteroffensive operations launched by the Azerbaijani Army to liberate the country’s territories from the Armenian occupation.
Alsumaria, Sindibad News and Alhurra portals reported that early in the morning of September 28, Armenian armed forces shelled the Azerbaijani territories along the frontline. In response to this, the Azerbaijani Army launched counteroffensive operations to liberate the country’s territories occupied by Armenia at the time of the collapse of the Soviet Union.
The Iraqi media outlets also referred to the history of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. It was noted that the OSCE Mink Group has failed to resolve conflict for almost 30 years.
The portals also highlighted the statements made by the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry and the Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan. It was stressed that the Armenian leadership is responsible for the military operations.
