Anar Eyvazov: Azerbaijani soldier moving towards another target with weapon in one hand and flag on other
“On behalf of the leadership of the army and the personnel I congratulate our dear people on the occasion of State Flag Day and on waving of our glorious flag in the liberated Shusha city,” said the head of the press service of Minsitry of Defence of Azerbaijan Anar Eyvazov at the briefing of Military Information center today.
He noted that over the past period enemy forces from Armenia’s Berd, Chamberek regions and various directions shells our regions in the direction of Tovuz, Gadabay and other directions, as well as our several residential settlements including Barda, Aghdam regions with various small arms, gun- howitzers and mortars:
“The adequate measures have been taken by our army only against legitimate military measures within our borders. The combat operations are continued mainly in Agdere, Agdam, Xojavend and Gubadli direction of the front. As a result of the aviation strikes inflicted by our air forces using Su-25 assault aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles in Khojavend direction of the front, the enemy’s trenches and shelters were completely destroyed. Several senior officials were annihilated at main command station. The units of the 2nd and 3rd motorized infantry regimens left helpless in front of our army’s attacks on the positions in this direction and around Red Bazaar settlement sustained heavy losses and were compelled to leave defense lines and to flee. The enemy has significant number of mortal and wounded casualties. The mortar launching personnel of the enemy’s 10th mountain rifle division opening fire on our units in Terter direction of the front were also destroyed by precise fire of our Army”.
“The enemy's forces trying to attack our units in order to break the siege in the direction of Shusha and the trailer moving in the direction of Khankendi have been destroyed by UAVs,” said Eyvazov.
He noted that the enemy suffering heavy losses was forced to retreat in several directions yesterday, 23 villages of Fuzuli, Khojali, Khojavand, Jabrayil, Gubadli and Zangilan were liberated from the occupation: “The enemy disseminates various pieces of disinformation in order to distract the public attention from its failures and military crimes committed by it on our occupied territories. The Azerbaijani Army being guided by norms and principles of international law targets only the enemy’s facilities of military purpose. The Azerbaijani soldier whose spiritual and psychological and material and technical condition is at high level is advancing towards another target while holding weapon in one hand and flag in other hand . This courage and fighting spirit are passed on to us from the victorious supreme commander and our unshakable people,” the spokesman said. “The Azerbaijani troops, which are currently expanding its offensive in the direction of Khojavend district, continue fighting with great enthusiasm and perseverance, controlling the operational situation. Victory is ours!"
