Anar Eyvazov: By bombarding Azerbaijani army's border units, Armenia trying to provoke Azerbaijan
By bombarding the border units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, the Armenian side is trying to provoke Azerbaijan, Spokesman for the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry, Lieutenant Colonel Anar Eyvazov said.
“Over the past period, our units in the Tovuz, Gubadly and Jabrayil districts have come under fire from the territory of the Berd, Chambarak and Gafan regions of Armenia,” said the spokesman.
“By shelling the Azerbaijani units stationed in the border areas, the Armenians are trying provoke us,” Eyvazov noted.
“Currently, fighting is going in the direction of Aghdara, Khojavand, Zangilan and Gubadly. The Armenian side retreated, suffering losses. Our troops are in full control of the operational situation. Unlike Armenians, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces only target military targets. We recommend that mercenaries on our occupied territories to lay down their arms and surrender,” said Eyvazov.
He said that over the past day 4 Grads, 1 KUB, 9 gun-howitzers, 2 trucks full with ammunitions, as well as tactical UAV were destroyed: “The enemy has been pushed out and has been forced to retreat in all directions by the combat tactic of the Azerbaijani Army. Currently, our Army controls the operational situation”.
The press secretary noted that the legitimate military targets are destroyed during counter-offensive operation of the Azerbaijani Army: “The enemy’s leadership that is not aware of the battlefield still gives false information to the internal audience. Therefore, the surrender of those who were deceived and brought to the battlefield is the only way of their survival”.
