The French edition of hespress.com, a famous Moroccan portal and online newspaper, has published an article, entitled “Military operations in Karabakh: Azerbaijan and Armenia are on the brink of war.”
“Today, Azerbaijan woke up to the sounds of armed attacks by Armenian-backed separatists in the Nagorno-Karabakh region. As a result of which, there are dead among Azerbaijani civilians and servicemen,” the article said.
It was noted that the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia flared up after Armenian-backed separatists launched military operations in Nagorno-Karabakh.
According to the article, President Ilham Aliyev promised that the military operations will result in the victory of Azerbaijan.
“Today, the Azerbaijani Army is dealing crushing blows to the enemy on Azerbaijani soil. Today, the Azerbaijani Army protects the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan on its territory. Ours is the cause of justice! We will win!”, the Moroccan portal quoted President Ilham Aliyev as addressing the Azerbaijani nation.
It was said that the military operations in Karabakh have echoed in the international community.
“Ankara urges Yerevan to stop its aggression. Turkey is ready to support its Azerbaijani brothers in the struggle for the protection of their country’s territorial integrity,” the portal cited Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar as saying.
