China’s influential media outlets covered the next military provocations committed by Armenia in a violation of the ceasefire regime with Azerbaijan and the retaliatory measures taken by the Azerbaijani Army.
Xinhua, a Chinese state-run news agency, People’s Daily, China Daily newspapers and other media outlets widely covered the statements made by Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration.
The abovementioned media outlets reported that 12 anti-aircraft missile complexes of Armenia were destroyed as a result of Azerbaijan’s counteroffensive operations. They also informed that a combat helicopter of the Azerbaijani Air Force was shot down, but the crew members were alive.
The Chinese media outlets also reported that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev declared martial law in the country. They also highlighted the statement made by UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, the phone conversation Russia’s foreign minister held with his Azerbaijani, Armenian and Turkish counterparts.
Providing information about the history of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the Chinese media outlets noted that a war erupted during the collapse of the former Soviet Union and Armenia occupied a part of the territory of Azerbaijan.
