TRT Haber, an influential Turkish TV channel, aired a special program highlighting the military confrontation caused by the next military provocations committed by Armenian armed forces.
The former Turkish ambassador to Azerbaijan, Hulusi Kilic, well-known scientists Togrul Ismayilov, Cagri Erhan and Girad Sadik were the guests of the program hosted by Betul Soysal Bozdogan.
The guests analyzed the tension in different directions. The Turkish-speaking audience was thoroughly informed about President Ilham Aliyev’s appeal to the Azerbaijani people, the telephone conversations held between the presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey, the statements made by Azerbaijan’s Presidential Administration and Defense Ministry, the causes and goals of the aggressor’s attacks, Armenia’s shelling of civilians, the world community’s reaction to the conflict escalation and other important issues.
Noting that Azerbaijan’s statehood has overcome great threats after national leader Heydar Aliyev came to power in 1993, Hulusi Kilic said President Ilham Aliyev’s decisive position created a historical opportunity to put an end to Armenia’s occupation policy.
Togrul Ismayilov expressed confidence that the Azerbaijani Army is capable of achieving a great victory.
Cagri Erhan, who justified Azerbaijan's right to liberate its occupied lands with international law, pointed out that the whole process is based on international conventions.
Giray Sadik spoke about Azerbaijan’s advantages in the region in a comparative manner.
