Vaezi: Iran-Azerbaijan relations based on interests of two neighboring, friendly peoples and states
The interests of the two neighboring, friendly peoples and states are the basis for the development of relations between Iran and Azerbaijan, said the head of the Iranian presidential administration Mahmoud Vaezi.
Vaezi reiterated that Iran recognizes the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and respects its sovereignty. The Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict must be resolved peacefully, in accordance with international law and within the framework of the territorial integrity of states. Iran is always ready to fulfill its mediation mission.
Vaezi stressed that cooperation between the countries of the region is necessary to ensure stability and security in the region.
