Head of the Kuwait Electronic Media Union and Chairman of Dasmannews online news portals Faisal Khalifa al-Sawwag has issued a statement strongly condemning Armenia’s military aggression against Azerbaijan and the shelling of Azerbaijani civilians by the Armenian armed forces.
Faisal Khalifa al-Sawwag urged the international community to demonstrate a tough and resolute position to punish Armenia for its crimes.
He stressed that the crimes committed by Armenia against Azerbaijan constitute a clear violation of international law and human rights.
The head of the Electronic Media Union said that the silence of the international community and the positions of the countries that support those provocations are unacceptable, and stressed that the current situation is a tragedy in the truest sense of the word.
He noted that the international community and international law should protect the rights of Azerbaijan. The provocations committed by Armenia are a war crime and genocide.
Faisal Khalifa al-Sawwag did not rule out the further possible escalation of the tension. He also urged the UN and other international organizations to immediately launch a dialogue to defend the rights of civilians.
